Conference Wire: Sea-Air-Space Opens, No Masks Required

The Navy League's sprawling event was the first big trade show canceled by COVID. Now it returns amid a new coronavirus spike.

Last year, the Navy League's giant Sea-Air-Space trade show and conference became the first major defense-industry event to fall victim to the coronavirus. Now it's back, with an in-person conference opening today at National Harbor, Md.—just as COVID cases rise across the country. 

Organizers said last week that they will not require attendees to wear masks, even as the Defense Department reimposes masking requirements for facilities in areas of “substantial or high community transmission.”
