DoD Cloud Modernization: A Discussion with Military Experts on Modernizing our Military’s Cloud Services

As the Department of Defense (DoD) transitions to multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud landscapes, this transition brings with it significantly increased complexity. Multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud landscapes can be complex to secure, operate, and innovate, but also present numerous benefits including robust security, increased flexibility and scalability, and improved ability to meet service demands. Therefore, managing this complexity is critical to the success of DoD data management, IT modernization projects, and ultimately mission success. The Government Business Council (GBC) interviewed three subject matter experts to better understand how the DoD will manage the complexity of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud landscapes.
