DIA to showcase new recruiting technology

DIA recruiters will use an upcoming public event to showcase technology, including virtual interviewer.

The Defense Intelligence Agency hopes to impress potential recruits with technology demonstrations at an upcoming event on the National Mall.

DIA will have a booth at the 2009 Public Service Recognition Week event, which takes place May 7 to 10. Visitors can meet DIA experts and learn about the collection, analysis and distribution of intelligence. Recruiters will be available to discuss employment opportunities.

DIA’s booth will feature simulation technology from agency’s Defense Academy for Credibility Assessment. The avatar technology is part of an interactive computer program in development that simulates security interviews.

More than 100 government offices, agencies, nonprofit organizations and private companies will be at the event, according to organizers. This year’s theme is “Government Goes Green.”
