DTRA developing counter-WMD technologies
TASC Inc. has received a single-award contract with a ceiling value of $600 million to provide advisory and assistance services to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency has chosen TASC Inc. to provide it advisory and assistance services under a single-award contract with a ceiling value of $600 million.
Under the five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, TASC will focus on creating new and mature technologies to counter chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) and promote nonproliferation for the agency’s Research and Development Enterprise.
The TASC team will support research, design, integration, test and evaluation of counter weapons of mass destruction and nonproliferation technologies for the full spectrum of CBRNE weapons.
In addition, the company, based in Chantilly, Va., will help make those capabilities available to DTRA customers, including warfighters, state and local governments, and homeland security agencies.
Work under the contract will be performed primarily at Fort Belvoir, Va., Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., and Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
