Harris introduces pair of frequency-hopping waveforms
One waveform provides very fast frequency hopping rates while the other delivers improved throughput while frequency hopping.
Harris has introduced new capabilities in electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) that will enhance the information security and reliability of tactical communications for international armed forces, the company said.
One waveform, Quicklook 3, provides enhanced agility through ultra-fast frequency hopping rates, while Quicklook-Wide delivers improved throughput of 64 Kbps of IP data while frequency hopping, the company said.
The new waveforms are part of an expanded line of ECCM for protecting tactical communications from jammers or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, Harris also said.
