DISA broadens search for DIBNet support

The Defense Information Systems Agency is looking for sources to defend DOD's enterprise service systems and infrastructure.

The Defense Department has broadened its search for support of the Defense Industrial Base Network platform.

In June, defense officials released a sources sought notice for small businesses only as they looked to start the next generation of development and sustainment of the platform supporting DIBNet. Officials now are looking everywhere for support.

The Defense Information Systems Agency’s Cyber Situational Awareness and NetOps Division wants potential sources for broad-band requirements to defend DOD’s enterprise service systems for email, share point, and cross domain, as well as infrastructure.

The contract for the DIBNet component of the Cyber Network Defense Tools Program ends in May 2019. The new contract will be called DIBNet and Cybersecurity Information Sharing.

DISA expects to make an award in March 2019.

DISA released the new notice July 26. Responses are due by Aug. 9.
