Enhancing the User Experience: How Agencies Leverage IT to Improve Mission Outcomes

With a focus on the customer experience, NASA employees and contractors can receive quick IT fixes and test available equipment in a storefront atmosphere. 

“It’s been almost two years since the pandemic hit. As a Program Manager of an Enterprise Contract, I couldn’t be prouder of how my team rose to the challenge," NEST Program Manager Nate Apodaca said. "NEST adapted to the situation and revised our processes to support the new normal. We were pivotal in the transition of 3500+ onsite employees to be able to work from home. Our revised processes enabled our technicians to continue refresh efforts by embracing our new cloud backup solution and we perfected our tools and communication with users to fit this new, remote world. I am tremendously proud of the work we did to keep our customer’s prestigious internship program functioning. In anticipation of the large numbers forecasted for the 2020 Summer Internship Program, the NEST team worked hand-in-hand with our customers to identify quantities of devices needed during worldwide supply chain issues. We changed our tools to enable remote opportunity for collaboration and we coordinated with different organizations that support the Agency to allow the brilliant minds of tomorrow an opportunity at the Agency today.”
