Marine Corps awards BearingPoint identity management work

The company will develop an identity and access management approach and supply the integration services necessary to make it operational.

BearingPoint Inc. will provide identity and access management technology to the Marine Corps under a contract that could be worth as much as $15.6 million over five years.

Under the contract, BearingPoint, of McLean, Va., will develop an identity and access management approach and supply the integration services necessary to make it operational, the Defense Department said Sept. 15. The technology will be available for systems and organizations throughout the Marine Corps, DOD said.

The work falls under the Marine Corps Enterprise Information Technology Services program. The purpose is to provide integrated Web services comprising a shared data environment, Web portal, identity management and access control.

The work, which will be performed primarily at the company’s facilities in McLean, is expected to be completed in September 2013.
