The Marine Corps Warfighting Lab and Oshkosh Defense recently tested multiple unmanned ground vehicles in a single convoy using Oshkosh's TerraMax UGV technology, company officials said in a news release.
The Marines evaluated the ability of multiple Oshkosh Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements equipped with the TerraMax UGV technology to support cargo missions for Marine Air-Ground Task Force Operations in an exercise held at Fort Pickett, Va.
In related tests, the Marines were able to use the TerraMax-equipped UGVs in concert with a command-and-control vehicle, operate the vehicles successfully in blackout mode during night operations and navigate the vehicles in rough terrain.
