UCLASS requirements approval expected soon, Navy says

The Navy expects formal approval of the requirements for its unmanned carrier-launched surveillance strike (UCLASS) aircraft in early fall, reports Flightglobal.

The Chief of Naval Operations has not yet approved the UCLASS requirements, the Naval Air Systems Command said.
  
Contractors received a draft version of the aircraft's requirements in early August, an industry source said in the story. The draft requirements emphasize unrefueled endurance.
