The Defense Intelligence Agency has cancelled the 2013 Defense Intelligence Worldwide conference that was scheduled to be held in April.

The Defense Intelligence Agency has cancelled the 2013 Defense Intelligence Worldwide conference that was scheduled to be held in April, according to a notice posted March 4 on the conference website.

“Due to fiscal challenges and uncertainty facing the federal government and the Department of Defense, the Defense Intelligence Agency has decided that the upcoming Defense Intelligence Worldwide will not take place April 8-10, 2013, in Baltimore, Md., as scheduled,” said a notice posted by National Conference Services Inc.

DIA officials also confirmed with Defense Systems that the conference has been cancelled.

The theme of the cancelled 2013 conference was “Beyond DODIIS – Mission Readiness 2020.” The Defense Intelligence Worldwide event, which is considered the premier event for the intelligence community, formerly was known as the Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DODIIS) conference.

NCSI said it will automatically cancel all registrations for the 2013 conference. Registration fees previously received will be refunded in full in 30 days.
