General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems attains top process rating

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems said June 28 it has earned a Level 5 rating on the Capability Maturity Model Integration platform. This is the highest rating available on the five-point scale, a business strategy tool used to rate the maturity of development processes.

General Dynamics said the Level 5 rating indicates that its processes are effective and stable, it to increase productivity and performance. “We are committed to helping our customers achieve mission success while managing program costs” said Mike Tweed-Kent, vice president and general manager of GD-AIS Systems Mission Integration Systems division. GD-ASI is now shifting its focus to optimizing capabilities through quantitative process improvements.
