DISA awards $4.3B in contracts for telecommunications support
Eight companies will compete for work on the Defense Information Systems Network over the next 10 years.
The Defense Information Systems Agency has given eight companies 10-year contracts potentially worth $4.3 billion for communications support for the Defense Information Systems Network.
The companies will compete for work under the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts, which runs through Dec. 20, 2025 and are intended to provide telecommunications network solutions and services in support of DISN’s transmission requirements. The work will focus primarily on regions outside of the continental United States, according to the contract announcement.
DISN is The Defense Department’s global telecommunications network, providing the means for the secure exchange of information in an interoperable setting. Among other services, it provides a variety of satellite communications on both classified and unclassified networks.
The companies awarded contracts are:
- Artel, LLC.
- AT&T Corp.
- BT Federal Inc.
- Qwest Government Services Inc., doing business as CenturyLink QGS
- GTT Americas Inc.
- CapRock Government Solutions Inc.
- Level 3 Communications
- Verizon Business Network Services Inc.
DISA said all eight companies that submitted bids received awards.
