Navy names 21 companies to $750M C2 contract
The companies will compete to supply the service with commercial command and control equipment and services.
The Navy has named 21 companies on a contract, potentially worth $750 million, to supply command and control equipment and support services.
The contract will primarily support the Department of the Navy around the globe, although it also could be used to provide a minor amount of equipment and services to other components of the Defense Department as well as civilian agencies, according to the contract announcement.
The Navy is looking to use the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract to procure commercial off-the-shelf C2 systems, including video and imagery systems, Global Positioning System equipment, intelligence support systems, intercoms, tactical displays, tactical processors, workstations and other equipment.

- Unistar-Sparco Computers
- Walker & Associates.
Work under the contract is initially expected to be completed by June 2017, but If all options are exercised, it could run until 2021, the Navy said.
