Navy sticks with SAIC for C4ISR system contract

Science Applications International Corp. has won a potential seven-year, $861.1 million contract to produce and deliver systems, networks and support equipment to support the Navy's information dominance efforts.

The Navy received three other bids for this recompete of SAIC's current contract to support the Navy's "C4ISR" environment -- command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

SAIC has performed the work since 2013 under the current five-year contract that expired in July, according to Deltek data. The new contract has an initial five-year base ordering period with a value of $596.6 million and an additional two-year term that would extend work to August 2025, the Defense Department said in its Thursday awards digest.

Systems will include integrated engineered cable assemblies, mounting kit assemblies, hardware, software and security applications to help Navy warfighters communicate, maintain situational awareness and achieve information dominance.

The company will procure, fabricate, assemble, integrate, test, inspect and deliver the range of systems that include various complex designs provided by Navy program offices in the form of technical data packages.
