Harris Corp. will supply more than 100 highband networking radio systems for the Army’s Warfighter Information Network Tactical Increment 2 under a $16 million follow-on contract from Lockheed Martin Corp., Harris announced Aug. 29.

The company’s highband networking radio, which uses directive beam technology to achieve a high throughput over long distances, hosts the highband networking waveform.

The highband network radio will be used in the WIN-T Increment 2 program as a terrestrial, line-of-sight layer, which includes mobile and fixed nodes, and augments a celestial layer of satellite communications for beyond-line-of-sight connectivity.
