Army moves forward with competition for passive RFID

The Army has issued a request for proposals for Passive Radio Frequency Identification II products and services, according to a June 7 FedBizOpps notice.

The military service is seeking identification tags, readers and software, and it plans to award a single idefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, the announcement said.

The Project Manager for Joint-Automatic Information Technology within Army Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems will oversee the program. Bids are due July 9.
