Enhanced sensor systems to help Army shed light in the darkness

The Army named five companies as the recipients of $1.8 billion in contract awards for its Warrior Enabling Broad Sensor program April 2, reports Nextgov.com.

The contract holders include BANC3, Princeton, N.J.; Corbin, Alexandria, Va.; EOIR Technologies, Fredericksburg, Va.; Fibertek, Herndon, Va.; and Manufacturing Techniques, Kilmarnock, Va.

The companies are tasked with providing the service with next-generation night-vision and sensor systems that function under different light conditions and can help detect improvised explosive devices, the story said.
