SAIC wins $58M Army Guard enterprise IT services contract
SAIC has won a contract from the Army National Guard to furnish support for the operation and modernization of the organization's Enterprise Operations and Security Services concept and the associated IT services
Science Applications International Corporation has won a contract from the Army National Guard G6 worth up to $58 million to furnish support for the operation and modernization of the organization's Enterprise Operations and Security Services concept, the company said Feb. 5.
Under the contract, SAIC will support the Army National Guard in developing a traditional IT operation model into a services-oriented, IT Infrastructure Library-based concept of operations.
Specifically, the company will provide common engineering and engineering project support, enterprise systems standardization support, data networks system engineering and security engineering support. The company also will supply service strategy and design, service transition, service operations and continual service improvements.
The single-award, firm fixed-price contract has a one-year period of performance, four one-year options. The company will perform the work in Vienna, Va.
The Army Natioal Guard G6 maintains and operates ARNG enterprise IT systems, including the wide area network known as the GuardNet XXI, exchange and Web services, as well as video and audio conferencing and other systems.
