What To Do About Syria

Several leading experts gathered at the Council on Foreign Relations to discuss what options the United States has to help end the civil war in Syria.

Several experts recently participated in the Council on Foreign Relations’ “What to Do About” series to discuss U.S. policy toward Syria and the current situation on the ground.

Speakers included Ryan Crocker, dean of the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University and former U.S. Ambassador to Syria; Charles Dunne, director of the Middle East and North Africa Programs at Freedom House and former director for Iraq at the National Security Council; Paul Pillar, a nonresident senior fellow at Georgetown University’s Security Studies Program who formerly served as a National Intelligence Officer for the Near East and South Asia for the CIA.
