Cyber warfare just one of many defense factors, group says

Many countries around the world are establishing new organizations to tackle threats in cyberspace although the main threat to their infrastructure comes primarily from civilian or group hackers and not other nations’ intelligence or military agencies, reports Damien McElroy for The Telegraph.

The analysis is based on a military balance report from the United Kingdom’s think tank International Institute of Strategic Studies, which maintains that cyber defense is only one of a wide array of factors that countries must consider in building and strengthening their military capabilities.

The United States retains the strongest cyber warfare capabilities, followed by Russia and China, in second and third positions, respectively.
