US Transcom looking for IT help with joint command
The Transportation Command is in search of various IT related tasks for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command.
The U.S. Transportation Command is seeking help from industry in supporting the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, which supports combatant commanders around the globe.
In a sources sought notice, the command says it is looking for a range of command, control, communications, cyber, and collaboration support (C5S) capabilities.
The JECC, which is subcommand of the Transportation Command, “provides mission-tailored, joint capability packages to combatant commanders in order to facilitate the rapid establishment of joint force headquarters, fulfill Global Response Force execution and bridge joint operational requirements.” The command also delivers joint operational command and control enablers to joint force commanders for conducting emergent full spectrum operations.
The solicitation is looking for a range IT services that include:
- cyber defense
- network operations and maintenance
- Base equipment control officer
- Unit/organization equipment control officer
- Deployment equipment
- Life cycle sustainment
- Disposal of automated data processing equipment (ADPE)
- Degaussing of ADPE
- Critical infrastructure protection incident handling and reporting
- Information assurance
- User account/permission management
- SIPRNet hardware token support
- Security exemptions / waiver management
- Integrated electronic security systems (IESS) sustainment
- Communications security (COMSEC) and electronic key management systems (EKMS) support services
- Deployment support
- IT planning
- system integration
- technical testing and evaluation
- analysis and guidance
- software management
- systems administration
- purchase of hardware and software
- hardware repair and enhancements
- software configuration
- end user devices support
- architecture and infrastructure management
- system management
- audio visual and video teleconferencing
- Contingency of operations (COOP) sustainment
- all deliverables related to these services
Contractors must also provide services in a series of 10 specific tasks, with additional subtasks, that include Contract Level and Contract Management, Automated Data Processing Equipment Support Services, Cyber and Physical Security Support Services, Audio-Visual Support Services, Voice Telecommunications Support Services, Data Telecommunications Support Services, Servers and Workstation Support Services, Technology Insertion Services, Collaboration Support Services and Project Development Services – indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity.
Work within the United States will be performed at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, and the contractor’s facility and MacDill AFB, Florida with some work to be performed outside the United States.
