Helping pregnant academy students. Two senators introduced a bill to end a policy that forces pregnant students at the military academies to choose between keeping their baby and continuing their studies, Defense One reports. The change would bring the schools in line with similar policies concerning how the services handle deployments of single parents.
Tough PCS season. The Army is seeing an unprecedented moving season as soldiers face shortages in housing and movers, Defense One reports. Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington is facing the most challenges, Army officials said, in part because of the large military community in the region competing for the same resources.
War College commandant reinstated. Maj. Gen. Stephen Maranian returned to his job following an investigation that could not establish probable cause that he had inappropriately touched a civilian employee, Army Times reports.
