SAIC nabs $667M Navy technical services deal

Science Applications International Corp. has won a contract potentially worth as much as $667 million over three years from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Atlantic to furnish technical support, the Navy announced Jan. 3.

Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, the SAIC will provide a wide range of services to SPAWAR-Atlantic including systems engineering, integration and testing. The company also will furnish other services such as large-scale fabrication, nondevelopmental item procurement, interim repair, and maintenance services and training.

The initial one-year contract is worth about $222 million. The work will be performed primarily in Charleston, S.C., with a smaller portion performed in Norfolk, Va.

Five offers were received through a full and open competition procurement, the service said.
