Byron Dorgan represented North Dakota in the U.S. Senate for 18 years, serving as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, which initiates funding for U.S. nuclear warheads. He currently serves on the National Advisory Board of the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation in Washington, D.C.
