Sea-Air-Space Conference Wire: CNO Slams Defense Manufacturers
The Chief of Naval Operations doesn't hold back on Day 2 of the Navy's League's biggest annual event.
Adm. Mike Gilday opened the Sea Air Space conference with a broadside against shipbuilders and planemakers who, he said, are "building the ships that you want to build"—as opposed to the ones the Navy needs—"lagging on repairs to ships and to submarines, lobbying Congress to buy aircraft that we don't need."
