Visual computing vendor Quantum3D has developed a commercial off-the-shelf, worldwide geo-specific database for both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft flight simulations, according to RF Design .

Geoscape Worldwide is built from 15-meter base imagery that covers 100 percent of the Earth’s land masses outside of the polar regions, and differs from other competing databases which are based on geo-typical representations of the Earth.

The database will be delivered to Lockheed Martin Aerospace for its initial deployment.
