Computer hackers have forced their way into some of the top-secret systems within the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence, said the nation's head of cybersecurity, reports The Guardian.

"The number of serious incidents is quite small, but it is there," Maj. Gen. Jonathan Shaw told the media outlet. However, there are likely more problems that the MOD is not yet aware of, he said.

Shaw said the MOD needs to embrace unconventional tactics to stay ahead of cyber criminals and said that it is important to recruit young people to the government cybersecurity careers because they have the expertise needed to combat cyber crime, the story said.
