Gen. Charles Flynn retired from the Army in January 2025 after 39 years in uniform. He served as commander of U.S. Army Pacific for three and a half years. Previous leadership positions (including 25th Infantry Division commander, USARPAC deputy commanding general) influenced his understanding of and approach to the Army's role in joint operations in INDOPACOM.
