CACI International Inc. will supply the Army with program management support for an intelligence system used to direct ground combat under a new contract.

CACI International Inc. will supply the Army with program management support for an intelligence system used to direct ground combat under a three-year, $38 million contract.

Under the contract, CACI will provide program management and technical engineering services support for the Distributed Common Ground System-Army, company officials said April 9. The company also will develop and integrate software, furnish life cycle management, and conduct financial analysis for budget and programs, the officials said.

DCGS-A pulls together intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data and stores it in a single system that is used to push information to commanders in the field. The system gives commanders accurate and advance knowledge about possible and imminent threats so that they can develop countermeasures and respond effectively.

The award was made through the Strategic Services Sourcing contract that CACI has with the Army, company officials said.
