Officials considered a cyber offensive against Libya's air defense under Col. Moammar Gadhafi, but used traditional weapons, article says.
President Barack Obama and advisers considered a cyberattack to immobilize Libya's air defenses and communications, The New York Times reported.
However, officials had too many concerns and questions, the article said, The questions included whether Obama needed congressional approval, whether the offensive could be launched quickly and if it would cause other nations to act against the United States or its allies.
Instead, they used traditional means to hit Moammar Gadhafi's air defense system and radar.
