There's a new commander of Army Cyber Command
Major Gen. Edward Cardon joins Cyber Command as its second command general.
U.S. Army Cyber Command is about to get its second command general since the command stood up in October 2010. The new commanding general will be MG Edward Cardon, who was nominated for the rank of lieutenant general and will take over the Fort Belvoir, VA-based command.
Cardon is currently serving as commanding general of the 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea, where he commands about 10,000 soldiers stationed mainly in the north between Seoul and the Demilitarized Zone. Prior that position he was deputy chief of staff for operations for the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.
He will replace LTG Rhett Hernandez.
