Army CIO retires

Lt. Gen. Susan Lawrence served as the Army’s CIO for the past two years.

Lt. Gen. Susan Lawrence, the U.S. Army’s CIO for the past two years, is retiring after 41 years of service, sister publication FCW reported.

Lawrence became the Army’s CIO in March 2011. In that role, she oversaw the services C4 and IT programs. She also led Army efforts to consolidate data centers and upgrade its networks.

FCW also reported that Lawrence’s deputy, Mike Krieger, will serve as acting Army CIO.
