Army awards $125 million contract for cyber operations
NCI, which has handled cyber network operations and security support since 2007, gets a new deal.
, based at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., has the job of defending and protecting the Army’s networks, ensuring the availability and security of network services. Earlier this year, Netcom’s oversight was moved from the Army CIO’s office to the Army Cyber Command as part of the service’s effort to consolidate and expand its cyber operations.
The Army’s Network Enterprise Technology Command has awarded a $125 million contract for cyber network operations and security support to NCI, the company that already has primary oversight of the service’s network operations and security.
The contract is for 12 months, with two one-year options and a six-month option period, the company said in an announcement.
NCI, which said it is the single point of contact for Netcom’s for network development and protection, has received two other contracts for cyber operations since 2007.
Netcom
